Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel were called to a townhouse in the 23300 block of Brewers Tavern Way in Clarksburg when a fast-moving blaze broke out amid the ongoing heatwave.

According to a spokesperson for the agency, the initial report found that there was an explosion from a grill near the fire. The second alarm was called due to the extreme heat and breadth of the fire.

It took a team of 68 firefighters from the department to control the flames.

No injuries were reported, but two adults and a child were displaced due to the damage caused by the fire.
